Loyalty is Currency

So here I am 2-months after my position was realigned out of Parry Labs. I am grateful for the opportunity I had there. I learned a lot from the individuals I worked with, but one quote stands out over the 18 months I worked there...

Loyalty is Currency...

I have to thank my good friend Harley Winkleback for that one. I didn't understand it at the time he said it to me, but by the time I turned in my laptop and access card, I did. I have listened to a dozen books on business since then, and it stands out as a true maxim. Be loyal to those around you, and they will be loyal to you.

But it has been a true blessing starting my own business. It has been a wonderful opportunity to get smart on the in's and out's of running a small operation and being able to talk with numerous peers and industry leaders on my experiences over the last nine years.

For Me, Last Frontier Defense Systems is a creative endeavor that is a culmination of the different skillsets I have acquired over the last 30+ years. I would love to make some money but it is actually a bit more about giving back to the people that have given me so much.

Do I think that there is a need for Counter-Robotics in the world today? Yes - do I think I will pop up in google search results? Probably not - but that is part of my learning curve as a "small business owner."
