Ketsugi Ridge Hike Denali State Park June 10-14, 2025

This four day - forty mile hike through provides some of the best views of Denali and the surrounding mountains. We start at the little coal creek trailhead and move at a leisurely pace that is appropriate for novice to intermediate hikers. We will move from there with two overnight stays to enjoy the opportunity for photos and meditation.  

This hike is challenging towards the beginning, with a fairly rapid ascent over the first 4 miles. From there, the hike levels out with wonderful views of Denali to the west. On day two there is a very steep descent into a valley and a challenging ascent back up to the bench. We will stop at Skinny Lake for a night and then move to Byers Lake the following day. 

Our preferred airport is Fairbanks International and we will look to pick up and stage out of the Fairbanks area before we make the 3 hour drive to the trailhead. We will stage a vehicle for retrograde at Byers lake and then head back to Fairbanks to make flights back to the lower 48.
